We hung out for a while and decided to head to the YMCA. He drove and I ran. He also stopped for a slice of pizza before the gym. Sigh... Who stops for a slice of pizza before going to the gym?
I got there, looked down and saw this!

Seriously, that never happens.I'm just not that fast. It was probably because the road to the Y was pretty flat. Damn I miss flat roads. Apparently in different terrain I could be much faster. We got there at about the same time, grabbed the door handle and locked, the Y was closed, something about Sunday summer hours. Instead we came back, grabbed my niece and took her bowling.
Disclaimer, I don't bowl. My skills swing widely between gutter balls and strikes. I'm a crappy bowler.
Every time I bowl, I think about the movie Kingpin. Woody Harrelson and that plastic hand cracks me up.
[Roy Munson is getting ready for his turn to bowl]
Ernie McCracken: It all comes down to this roll. Roy Munson, a man-child, with a dream to topple bowling giant Ernie McCracken. If he strikes, he's the 1979 Odor-Eaters Champion. He's got one foot in the frying pan and one in the pressure cooker. Believe me, as a bowler, I know that right about now, your bladder feels like an overstuffed vacuum cleaner bag and your butt is kinda like an about-to-explode bratwurst.
Snicker....
We kicked off Monday morning with a trip to the maple syrup farm. Spragues is always a favorite stop when we come up to visit. The food is super good and everything is slightly maple flavored. Mmmm mapely.
I had eggs and the BEST maple sausage patties. They're like little maple sausage burgers and instead of bread, some blueberry pancakes. I ate probably half the eggs, one patty and about 3/4 of a pancake. Kev finished my other pancake.
After dinner we went to see 22 Jump Street. Hysterical. I could look at Channing Tautm for hours so, you know the movie had something for both of us.
After we got back I was climbing the walls and Kevin sent me to the gym to burn off some energy. I had a twinge in my right hip after my run yesterday and was a little nervous to run again. Seriously though, I needed it. I was crawling the walls and couldn't just sit the rest of the evening. So I ran to the Y again today, a little slower but it was still a nice flat run. I figured with my hip, I'd take it easy.
Negative split, nice.
Tonight we're just chilling and starting the drive home tomorrow.
What did you do last weekend?
