Wednesday Confessions

Seriously, how is it Wednesday already? Let me tell you, new job is keeping me super busy, which is a good thing. There's so much to do and organize. I mean the person I replaced saved copies of newsletters from 2008! 2008! No one cares that Sally brought meatballs to the potluck 6 years ago. That she kept but I can't find a single soft copy of any procedural manual. So much paper....

Enough about that, it's time for Wednesday link-up with Vodka and Soda and the Hump Day Blog Hop with Fitness Blondie! Head on over and say hi!

The Hump Day Blog Hop        Vodka and Soda

Confession time!

 - Sometimes I forget that things exist, like exist in the world. Last winter I was wearing flats and was sad because my feet were cold. Socks would ruin the look but dang my feet were cold. If only there was an alternative. Trouser socks. I completely forgot about trouser socks. Heck, I even have a few pairs. A few years ago Kev forgot about juice. Like forgot that juice existed and was something you could have.

 - I am SOOOOOO excited for August 23rd!

It's time for the new Doctor!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH.... I'm not a sci-fi geek at all but I LOVE me some Doctor Who. We got Netflix last year and I decided to see what all the hype was about and I was hooked. It's been a long few months waiting for the new episodes and I can't wait!

 - Sometimes when I drop something on the floor, I don't bend over and pick it up. I just call Cleo over to eat it.

- I have a "problem" with stripes. I love them too much. When I look in my closet about 50%  of the tops and dresses are striped. Annnnnd I'm wearing stripes today.

(Yea, you can see the problem)

 - I have a Chapstick addiction. Like a full blown addition. I have Chapstick in my purse, on the coffee table, 3 at work, 2 in my car, 1 in Kev's car, one on my night table. They're everywhere. There's nothing worse than dry lips.

 - The only reason I don't work out at home is because I don't know how to work the DVR. In my defense, we don't have a DVR, its a PS3 that apparently doubles as a Blue-Ray player. I've never used it and I've never seen a remote for it. Kev says we have one but I only ever see him use a controller to operate the dang thing. For a while he was using a Guitar Hero guitar. I can't live like that.

Those are my confessions, don't forget to head over to the Link - Up!

Have you ever forgotten that something existed?

Chapstick, yay or nay?

  1. OMG I'm pretty sure we're practically the same person. I hate when my feet get cold and socks aren't so much of an option when you're going for that look. My dog, Phil, know that when i tap my toe on the floor, there's a special treat there for him. Sometimes, someone will accidentally tap their toe and he will come running. My roomies say that I have a stripes problem. I don't understand. I have chapsticks EVERYWHERE. Purse, headboard, wallet, downstairs, bathroom. I hate having to fetch them if I forget to carry one in my pocket. And finally, when I got the Ex a PS3 for cmas, I didn't want to learn to use it at first and he had to do all the things. Then he took it with him when we broke up and I had started to learn to use it and like it. Boys suck.

  2. how do you forget about juice? haha. i want trouser socks. and OMG doctor who I am SO excited. But I am worried I won't like him. Here's what happened with me: I loved Christopher Eccleston, and was like David Tennant is weird. Then when Matt Smith came along, and I was like, I miss David Tennant!! Now I'm like who's this old guy, I love Matt Smith! Haha. I actually met Matt Smith and Karen Gillan a few months ago, best day ever. So I am weary of this guy!

    1. I KNOW! I'm a little wary of Capaldi too, I think that happens every time you get a new Doctor. I LOVED David Tennant but eventually warmed up to Matt Smith. I think this new Doctor is going to be a lot more intense but I can't wait to see what he does with the role!

  3. Gotta love the dogs for cleaning up the messes we make! We always do the same thing in our house. I am also super obsessed with chapstick, I'll always find at least 1 in every bag and drawer

    1. I have Chaptsick everywhere, the problem is that my dog will eat them if I leave them in reach. I can;'t even tell you how many she's gone through. They don't seem to hurt her but it can't be good to eat that many. She's proably addicted too.

  4. It really is a problem. Not one that I have any interest in changing though. Now if they only made a Chaptstick that doesn't melt in your car...

  5. I had no idea this was part of dog ownership! I figured i would take her for walks and play fetch (which she doesn't do) but this whole eat what I don't want thing is a pretty awesome side benefit!

  6. Chapstick... definite YAY!!!!!
We just got a new Xbox & my husband doesn't want to hook our DVR back up - just to use the xbox. The controller confuses me.

  8. Yeah on the new job!! You would hate mine we have to keep all paperwork for 5 years! The best part of having a dog is a built in pre-rinse dishwasher! ;)

  10. I MUST have something for my lips, so there's chapstick and lip balm all over the place everywhere I frequent. I've finished a few to the last part and felt very accomplished, lol!

  11. I never pick food up off of the floor, that's what dogs are for ha ha! They also clean it up better than I could most of the time :D

    1. A few weeks ago we were at my mother in law's house and I had to be hyper aware that everything I dropped actually had to be picked up.

  12. YES, it gets SOOOOO MUCH BETTER. Get through season one and you get a new Doctor and David Tennant was fantastic.

  14. I couldn't agree more! I'm also able to better control my portions. Full but there's still food left? Don't want to waste it? Give it to the dog!

  15. I think I need an intervention. Surprisingly, I don't have on stripes today!

  16. Haha!! I totally leave all food I drop on the floor because "one of the animals will eat it." Heehee!

  17. Sometimes I wish I had a dog just so I could have a personal floor cleaner!

    1. I had NO idea that was a side benefit of dog ownership. Problem is, she eats everything on the floor. Pens, nail polish bottles, my chapstick...

  18. Sometimes I forget chapstick exists! I have them everywhere but it's like I only actually use them when I happen to see one. I only work out at home, but I totally agree about those dang controllers, one day I sat here trying to get it to work for close to an hour! Now I wish I had a dog...
