Weekly Weigh-in #9

Yea, I really didn't see that coming. I was odd though, I 'felt' that I had a 3 pound loss in me, somewhere. I thought it at the last weigh-in, and this week I felt pretty good. I'm finally starting to feel a difference in my clothes, and a few people commented that I looked like I'd lost some weight.

I swear, someone telling you you look smaller is such a rush. It just puts you in a better mood, and you feel happier. On the other hand, I could go on about body positivity and how we should love our bodies regardless of size and why does someone saying you look smaller, make you feel so good? I get it, I do, but I'm losing weight for me, because it makes me feel better and, at my height and bone structure, there's no healthy reason for me to weigh this month.

At -15, that officially puts me 1/3 of the way to my goal weight. The more I think about it though, I want to go further. I stopped at 160 last time because honestly, I was tired of dieting, It took over a year to get there and I was done. I'm curious to see how long it takes me to get back there this time. But I have another number in my head, it's been popping up for a while and I think it's going to be my ultimate goal. Fingers crossed it won't take an entire year to get to 160, But this time, I'm going for more.

Workouts
Saturday - Ran the Komen 5k
Sunday - Body Flow
Monday - Chiropractor. When he told me to run more instead of spinning
Tuesday - Ran on the Treadmill - 3.15 miles
Wednesday - Got my nails done. I was super hungry that day too and working out wasn't happening.
Thursday - Ran on the Treadmill - 3.25 miles
Friday - Nada. We went to see the Conjuring 2.... Kev owes me for that one.

What I'm eating this Week
I haven't been drinking a lot of water, and I know I should drink more. I don't drink soda, I haven't had a non-diet soda since I was 15? Then 6 years ago I discovered I was allergic to aspartame and no more diet sodas. Three years ago I stopped with most artificial sweeteners. That leaves coffee (no sugar), unsweet tea, and sparkling water. I was looking for something to add flavor to water to make me drink more and I came across the True Lemon/Lime/Orange line. It's all natural, has cane sugar and stevia, 3 carbs, 10 calories per packet. I use 1/2  a pack in 16oz of water and I only use 1 or 1 1/2 packs per day and that's 32 - 48oz of water that I wasn't drinking before. I'll take it! Especially if the scale keeps heading downward and tasty water doesn't make me stall. (FU gum)

Pictures
I did a little shopping last weekend and got this shirt, which is really cute. I debated between the Med and the Large. I probably should have gone with the Med, the large is already a little big under the arms.

I made a little side by side comparison for #TransformationTuesday. Week one to week 8, was 11.5-ish pounds and I was starting to see a difference.

It's crazy though, I felt really "fluffy" in the outfit I wore Friday. It just goes to show how the cut of a shirt / pair of pants can make you look.

Cheats
I didn't eat off plan this week, i had my "cheat" meal the Friday before when I had Subway for lunch and sushi for dinner. I still had 7 days to work it off. Weds I had a "hungry day" and I ended up eating an extra serving of fruit and a cheese stick. I've also eaten a piece of hard candy before working out (oooooo hard candy). One piece counts as a Limited Free Food, and I can have up to 3 of those per day.

I made this, because it's so true.

One more thing, Kev and I went through a bunch of bags of clothes that were in the spare bedroom for a a future garage sale. There were clothes I put in there when I thought it would be a long long time before I could ever fit into them again.  Now that I actually see a path to losing weight, I pulled out some of the things I wanted to keep.

I call this the "The Closet of Dreams"

I should be able to visit this closet in about 10 more pounds or so.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Here's to another successful week!

  2. Congrat's on 3lbs! It's so hard to loose weight. What plan are you on? I am new to your blog. I have been using Teami to help control bloat which makes me feel better and eat healthier. Exercise is on the list but I am so busy some days and other's I don't feel like it.

    1. Thanks! I'm on Jenny Craig. I lost 50 pounds on the plan 5 years ago and slowly gained back 45 of the 50. A few weeks ago I faced the music and headed on back to Jenny. I've never tried Teami. I found an all natural "water pill" (I guess) from Whole Foods and it does a pretty good job keeping down the bloat for me.

  5. Wow, way to go! I only add a packet of splenda to my tea each morning but I want to cut that out of my diet. I need to try out that true lime for water!
